State Championships

What great results we had overall for Campbelltown at the 2010 State Championship that were held at home last weekend.

The teams had limited training together as majority of players had State League trainings and games. Teams were made up of different State League divisions and club players to ensure that Campbelltown were well represented at the Championships. It didn't take long for them to get to know each others play on the court and off the court they all became good friends so lots of discussions were taking place.

Results being

  • Opens were placed 4th
  • 21s were placed 7th
  • 17s were placed 6th
  • 40s were placed 8th

Coaches were very happy with the players skills and determination to play netball. The huge amount of red and black supporters at the games made them play well and I am sure the crowd did not leave not disappointed. They got to watch some very exciting games!

After each days play the girls experienced their recovery in their new ice bath which is in the recovery room of the complex. A bit of fun had by all.

I would like to congratulate all the players, personnel, officials and supporters for such an enjoyable weekend.

I'm sure some action shots will be available on our webite soon.

WELL DONE EVERYONE!!!!
