Team 2 (Division 6)
Team 2 met tough competitors, Randwick, in Division 6. Unable to beat Randwick in the two competition rounds, Campbelltown lost to them by one goal in the semi-finals. After downing Eastwood-Ryde in the finals, Campbelltown came up against Randwick again in the grand final.
The youngsters from Campbelltown started strongly and secured an early lead. Although the lead narrowed over the course of the game, Campbelltown was still in front when teams took the court for the last quarter. Despite best attempts, Campbelltown was unable to hold off a strong comeback from the more experienced Randwick team and went down by 2 goals.
Coach, Cheryl James, was thrilled with the team’s performance after only one season together.
